SUMMARY:Epicman Middle Distance Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Middle Distance Triathlon in the Lake District. Did a similar event last year (A Day in the Lakes) which is no longer put on\, so really happy to find this one. Love this part of the Country. The bike route is the same as the other event and the swim is in the same Lake (Ullswater). This forms part of my training plan for IronMan Wales.

SUMMARY:Hardmoors 55 Ultramarathon
DESCRIPTION:This will be my first ultramarathon\, and probably the longest endurance event I will have done to date. The race is known to be tough\, with previous years seeing a range of weather from glorious sunshine to heavy snowfall. \n\n\n\nThe Hardmoors 55 is a 55 mile Ultramarathon running from  Guisborough to Helmsley. The 55 mile race will take competitors through the North York Moors and the Cleveland Hills in quite possibly winter conditions. Do not underestimate this race!! The race contains over 2000metres of ascent and has a time limit of 16 hours.

SUMMARY:Round Ripon Ultra
DESCRIPTION:I have entered this as part of a relay team\, with some other members from my Triathlon Club. There are 4 teams in total from Redcar Tri Club\, so a fair bit of competition is expected. Not sure on any of my leg details yet\, these are tbc. \n\n\n\nThis is a 35 mile circular route which starts and finishes in the pretty North Yorkshire village of Studley Roger. The undulating route follows the northern section of the Ripon Rowel and takes in varied terrain including the trail\, woodland and moorland of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The race finishes with a wonderful downhill run through Studley Royal deer park and back into Studley Roger. SUMMARY:Middlesbrough 10km Road Race
DESCRIPTION:This was my first run in 2021 when I started running again\, so had to book on for this year’s event as well. I got 59:22 last year\, and I am aiming to come in under the 50 minute mark this year! \n\n\n\nThe Mighty Middlesbrough 10k is a must for your running calendar is set to be another great event.  Run For All are extremely proud to have recently become hosts of this fantastic run (formerly known as the Tees Pride 10K). SUMMARY:Helmsley Swim Run
DESCRIPTION:This will be my first ever Swim Run event (I wanted to do the triathlon\, but I left it too late and the spaces filled up). I am going on holiday later the same day\, so my hopes is to get this wrapped up quick\, and do my recovery run the next day in Greece! \n\n\n\n800m Swim in Yorkshire’s only heated 25m Lido. Pool Temp 26-29C. 4 lanes – max 5 swimmers per lane\, rolling start 10km Run – the Helmsley 10km multi-terrain route. Very popular with runners on Easter day since its inception 10 years ago. We head back into the heart of the Moors taking in super views above the valley of Riccaldale before heading back to Helmsley with its imposing castle All proceeds from the event go to the charity run swimming pool. £200K was spent in 2019 renewing the pool tank\, apron and surround. Our next task is to renew the 52 year old pool building so that it is fit for purpose for the 21st Century.
